HOW TO BOOK AN EXCHANGE ABROAD
- The completed application form for Chez Nous Homestay + photographic ID of the student. All signatures i.e.Parent/s (or legal guardian/s) and the participant’s signature are required to confirm the booking.
- An application fee of €100, payment details will be in the invoice.
- In two-way exchanges we require photographs your home and a family photograph as well as the student ID photograph.
- A letter to the host family, in your target language and starting with "Dear Family"
- A letter of reference from your school addressed to us. This should be from either your language teacher or school principal. If attending school abroad the latest school reports may be required by the receiving school.
- Please complete and return a student exchange application form.
- On receipt of completed forms we will issue an invoice for the exchange.
- An application fee of €100 must be paid to begin processing the application.
- We will conatct you with details of an exchange family which suits your exchange dates and profile.
- The balance of the invoice must be paid.
- You will then receive full contact details of your exchange family.
- Exchange families book their own flights and insurances.
- Irish host families / exchange families must be Garda vetted, we are registered to arrange this service for you.
- We will send contact details to you of your local coordinator abroad.
- All airport transfers, meals activities and accommodation agreed and provided directly by each family in a two way exchange.
- For paid homestay abroad/ school stay abroad airport transfer fees apply and are included in the overall fee. For paid hometstay abroad extra activities may be booked in advance or as required during the stay.
