TWO WAY EXCHANGE: A two way exchange is often called a real exchange. It is a reciprocal exchange between two selected host families. The Irish student travels abroad and lives for a set number of weeks with their exchange partner. They live and speak with the exchange family as a member of the family. The foreign student comes to Ireland to stay with the Irish family for the same number of weeks and learns English and participates in the daily life of their exchange family. Families are matched as far as possible by age, interests and availability to travel and host. This option is available during school year and during school holidays. This is the most economical way of travelling abroad to learn a second language.
2023 Prices for two way exchanges start at €500 for exchanges up to 4 weeks long. €650 for up to 8 weeks
