Our Exchange programmes are aimed at second level students who are interested in a language and cultural exchange with a student of a similar age
We help you match your child or teen (11 to 18) with a student of similar age in another country.
It is a great way to learn a new language and experience a different culture. 
Would you like your teen toimprove their French and learn to be open minded about other cultures? Do you want your child to explore another country and participate in family life there?  Do you also wish to share your own culture and language with a child from abroad?
A two way exchange offers all of these possibilities for your child , and we will help arrange a suitable exchange family so you can have confidence in undertaking this great adventure. 
​Both students will be together during each stage of the exchange. The decision of who travels first is up to the families involved in the exchange.

 The most popular Europen languages for Irish students are French, Spanish and German. 
A two way exchange is a reciprocal exchange between two selected host families, at times and dates selected to suit them. Families are matched as far as possible by age and interests. The foreign student learns English and improves their English language skills while visiting Ireland.
Our two way exchanges between Ireland, France, Germany and Spain provide excellent opportunities for Irish Students to develop and improve their confidence in speaking a foreign language.
Language Travel Holidays may be organised during the school year. This is an ideal time for TY students to travel abroad and improve their language skills.
Students who wish to study abroad during summer holidays can combine travel and leisure with language acquisition.
